Here are my criteria. I am going to Taiwan in July and I can buy a notebook, but not being able to read chinese, I can't tell which Asus models are available in Taiwan.

    I'd like one that is:

    5 lbs or less
    12-14" screen
long battery life, i.e., real world 4 hrs or greater.
    dedicated gpu, like ati x1600
    dvi
    integrated card reader
    integrated web cam with mic

    Could anyone help me?
Don't even have to be asus.

Hey... I have a flyer that I'm looking at right now... I'm in Taiwan also. :) Here are some of the notebooks they have here that are 12-14"

    1) W7J - 18.3 core duo, 1GB, 13.3", 100GB, DVD burner, Nvidia 7400 TC 256, webcam (Around $1600 USD)

    2) M9V - Cintrino 1.86, 14.1" 80GB, 512MB, 128 X600SE (Around $1000 USD)

    3) W3j - 1.66 core duo, 1GB, 100GB, DVD burner 14', X1600 (Around $1350USD)

    4) A8jc - 1.66, 14' 80GB DVD burner, 512MB's, Nvidia 7300 TC 256MB, webcam (Around $1250 USD)

You will get charged 5% tax.

Also right now in Taiwan there is in A8jm :( But I was talking to a guy and he said in a couple weeks that it should be out here. I'm also considering the W3j or A8jm but I'm just waiting for the A8jm to make my decision. I think option #1 is your best bet unless you need a lot more graphics power.
