Asus 20" monitor vs Dell 2007WFP question

This one's for Justin.

As you know I've been asking about monitors from Asus the past couple months because my 17" CRT from LG is freakin' horrible and hurting my eyes; it's about to die.

I'm pretty much waiting for Justin's review on the coming 20" (was it?) widescreen monitor.

I recently saw that Dell released their 2007WFP. As many of you know I'm not a Dell fan whatsoever, but I do know their higher end monitors are really great, from what I've read of course. I've read about this monitor and the features are just great, as are the reviews I've read.

Dell usually has coupons and stuff, but this monitor is brand spankin' new so I'm guessing there won't be any for some time.

This Dell 2007WFP is also a Super IPS screen, and I know how everyone has been raving about the IPS screen on their V6Va's, sooooooo, great screen no?

I'm thinking I'll have to wait for a comparison, or a review of the Asus once it's released, but what do you guys think about these two screens?

Well, if you do deal with your monitor longer, I would think Dell would have a coupon for the 2007WFP. 2 1/2 months after the release of the 3007WFP, I remember Dell had this crazy deal... I believe it was $1500, only. But then again, that was Dell Canada.

Bottom line is that Dell usually starts subjecting their products to discounts after a few short months. Same with the E1705. No coupons worked on them for about the first month.
