    Hello,

Just got an Asus 451CA laptop based on 3217U (1.80GHZ) cpu from a friend.
It came with windows 8, But I've changed it's drive to 240GB ARC 100 ssd and installed windows 7 X64 on it.
All driver installation went fine (used driverpack 15.4 and manually installed intel USB 3.0 and Asus touchpad driver).
System seems to work fine, But I'm bothered about it's Temp.
Cpu idle is around 48-52C when load is (0-12%). When I play an 1080P movie, It rise to around 68C-70C (Load is around 35%), And when I tried to run OCCT 4.4.1 which loads the cpu to 99-100% the cpu temp rose to 87C in about a minute and it turned the program off to protect the CPU.
I wanted to know please if these temps seems to be normal, Should I set/install some power management settings, Or should stress test the CPU differently.

    Thanks in advance

Those temps do not sound dangerous, but they could be a little lower. Have you opened up the bottom to clean out the vents and fans from any dust that may have built up.

Best to clean up the heatsink/vent to rid of dust from blocking the escaping heat.
Also, reapply thermal compound since it could have been used for awhile.

Like others said: check the fans and heatsinks for build up of any kind, and you may need to repaste.

Those temps are fairly normal for non-ULV processors, but since your laptop uses a low voltage chip, those are certainly a little over the top.
