    Hi everybody,

I just got the Asus A53S laptop today. I'm current using dual monitors via HDMI. The first monitor is the ASUS it self and a Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD. Now the problem is when I try to change the resolution to 1900 x 1080 which I know my monitor supports it doesn't display properly.

Its like if the monitor isn't big enough to support that resolution. I have a picture posted here: http://i.imgur.com/j4L7N.jpg what could be the problem? The current resolution I'm running is 1680 x 1050. I'm guessing its has something to do with the intel integrated graphics handling the dual monitor instead of the the nvidia 540M. I tried to find an option somewhere on the nvida control panel but there isn't. If u take a look http://i.imgur.com/ZRQNW.jpg

It looks like the only output is the vga and the hdmi is being handled by the cpu. I'm so lost now  can anybody help me out? have any suggestions? That would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance :D

If you enter the BIOS (F2 after power on) is there an option to disable the intel graphics and only use the 540m?
