Hey, I brought the A6 laptop last year and about a few months ago I took it out to use without the charger, and when I came back home and plugged the charger back in, the battery charging light (the orange one) came on.... and it never really went off. It stays on when I am on the computer, or when I shut it down.

I took it out again yesterday and the after using it for 15 minutes my battery was already drained out.

It seems like that the battery did not charge at all... also before I went to sleep last night I checked the power meter, it said "22% remaining" and this afternoon when I started the laptop, the power meter said the same thing.

(Btw, I took it many times before, and there was never a problem with the battery recharging)

    Any help????
    Thanks

Obviously, the battery recharable ability is going to die. Please try to let the battery life to 0~1% level, then fully charge it again, then check it the level and make sure it can be fully charged up to 100%, if not, it have to be sent for service.

almost letting the battery completely drain before you charge is always the preferd option, but i have all ways found when you fully recharge them you never get more than 98-99% charge level.

I have allmost the same problem.
    New asus a6000km
I Took my notebook for a site work in my car,I used it on batteries for about 10 minutes and turned it off as always. when I came back I noticed the batttery was completelly discharged so I plugged the charger and went to sleep.
Next morning the charging light was still on, and when I started up windows, the charge indicator was about 98%
when I disconected the charger, the notebook instatly turned off.
Now It runs only on ac power, as if battery was dead, meanwhile battery charge indicator shows me a decreasing charge value every day about 1% less each day.
this is really strange but seems to be a comon problem since you have something similar.
anyway.....does anybody knows pinout values for a6000 series batteries?
it could be very usefull to determine what is working wrong?
Many thanks in advance, and please excuse my poor writting (really bad english)
