Nice find. Certainly looks like a winner except for the battery life.

Does anyone know the resolution of this 15.4" screen?

It seems it will vary: http://www.asus.com.tw/products4.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1006&l1=5&l2=24&l3=0

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: It also says in the review that the chassis is carbon fiber, I thought it was plastic? Oh, and does that 3DMarks score seem...well...low (2546 vs the Z70Vas 2428) Is that really much of a difference?

I think on most A6J's...the resolution will be WXGA.

It CAN come in a 4:3 ratio configuration... but I'm pretty sure the model that's coming to North America will only be widescreen. If it came in a 4:3 ratio, it'd compete directly with the V6Va/V6J... that, and the fact that widescreen is probably more popular at the moment.

The only models confirmed for recent release are the Z62F, Z62J, and Z35F.
Everything else is still up in the air... including the A6J.
ETA's posted for other models are worthless.
    Just FYI.

What do you mean? In sweden people already have A6Ja in their hands, T2300 1.66 GHz, 512 MB DDR II and X1600 256 MB.

I'm a bit confused. In the review above it's written that A6ja is "Molded from the same material used on racing vehicles, the metallic black exterior is formed from carbon fiber which is stronger than magnesium alloy, yet significantly lighter".

So far I've read on couple of other places that this laptop's chassi is made of plastic.

Are there different versions of same laptop model out there?
