    Basically the same thing as a K73E or X73E. A/K/X series use the same chassis and are generally exactly the same give or take a few specs.

    It seems like a good deal. Are these models known to be reliable?

    They are mainstream models, so the chassis is not quite as sturdy as some of the other more expensive models, but they are still good. Just be careful about refurbished A/K/X series laptops. I have had mixed experience with them, even out of the box.

    Thanks for the info. I've been out of the computer market for quite a while so I've got a steep learning curve. I'll use it mostly around the house so it doesn't need to be too rugged. As long as the components & electronics are ok I should be fine. It just seemed weird that I could find very little info & opinion on this unit.
