    Asus A7J Only 1.5 gigs of ram max

    Is it true that you can only put 1.5 ram in that notebook?

    No, not true. It can take 2Gb in total.

    You're probably thinking of the W7J ... The A7J can take 2 GB max according to various sites on the web...

    Thats good. I read somewhere that it can only take 1.5 gig. But its good that it can take 2 :)

    Yup, some reviews have said, the second slot is under the keyboard and harder to access, hence ppl saying only 1.5 GB available (512 under the keyboard and 1GB in the extra slot).. but if you want, the 512 under the keyboard can be replaced (dunno about warranty though...)

    I would think that warranty would be voided. I don't think Asus want their customers fiddling around with their laptops, and then blame them when it breaks.
