    Asus A7T Black Screen Problem!!!

    Hi Guys, i am having problems with my laptop where everything seems to be working fine by the sound of it, but the screen is black. Nothing is coming on. i can hear the drives working and also a beep sound at the start.
    Looking at other forums people are suggesting to take my RAM out and place it back inside? will this work? please help me out as i urgently need a fix. please!

    I suggest get an external monitor and plug into the VGA out of your notebook. If you see the image, then it's your LCD. Otherwise, it's not clear yet.

    Beeping usually means one of three things: bad GPU, bad RAM, bad CPU.

    If the VGA test is inconclusive (external monitor black), I suggest indeed you remove each one of two sticks of RAM, if you have two, try booting the computer each time. Otherwise another stick would be handy?

    Another thing to try is: take the batt out, unplug from wall, push power button and keep pushed for about 20 seconds; push 5 times in a row. Afterwards, plug in and try to boot.
