My brother has the A8JP laptop and it seems great except that the X1700 gfx card isn't entirely supported by ATI. So, I'm thinking of getting the A8JS.

However, I was recently looking through discussions on it, and people say there are some screen issues? How bad are these, and if I order from newegg, will I still get the problems?

some people don't like the viewing angles of the screen. They could be better, but they are at the level of this type of small laptops, specially with this resolution. I don't mind. Regarding the graphics card, Asus is also behind the nviddia drivers (last drivers on Asus website were uploaded in April if I'm not mistaken). The only solution is to use the laptopvideo2go hacked version. I don't know how it goes with ATI.
