Been debating between the above and a T61.
The specs for the asus are:
Intel core duo 2 T7200 2GHz
14" WXGA
8X super multi DVDRW drive
1024 DDR2 667MHz ram (will upgrade on my own )
NVidia Geforce Go 7700 512b video
120 GB 5400 rpm hard drive
802.11 A/B/G
Bluetooth
Windows Vista Business
4 in one card reader
0.3M webcam
Bag and a mouse
2 year warranty, plus 1 year accidental

$1300 including tax
The T61 is similar specs for around the same money, maybe $100-$150 more.
I do not game at all, maybe the odd older game here and there. I surf a lot, and use MS Office a lot, maybe watch the occasional DVD. I am looking for something portable, reliable, great customer service. I am posting here because I needed people who are familiar with Asus to give me their expertise on this particular model. Please keep in mind, I am in Canada where the prices are a little higher, and I cannot buy from many cheap online retailers, i.e. Newegg, etc. I have looked at many Asus models, and I do not want to spend more than $1300 all in. The W7S-B2B looks phenomenal, but that will run me $1500...
Thanks for your help.

Dude,
If you are not into games, i seriously suggest you go in for the T61 which is more for business. What is the screen size you are looking at?
I got a F9S from asus, so far so good. I like it very much since its compact and gives me 2 hours of battery life.. its very powerful too!! -
Yes, if you don't need the extra power, but need extra reliability, I also suggest going for the business model.

Originally, I wanted a 13.3" screen, but the Asus W7S is now discontinued, called many places in Canada. So, now I started looking at a 14" screen, the A8JS and A8SC. The A8SC is priced incredibly well, $3000 cheaper then a thinkpad...
So, even though the T61 is $150 more, you still think I shoould go for it...sorry, money is tight, so I'm just trying to convince myself..
