    Asus A8Jc and InstantON (media player)

    I've just bought A8Jc without OS and I'd like to use InstantON Media Player - it should run without OS booting after pressing dedicated button.

    Problem is that It won't run - there is no anything on HDD and I can't find It on CD nor asus download page to install.

    Does anybody have running InstantON on A8J?

    I dont think it supports Instant ON, cos i think i tried it and it failed. I'll give it a shot later on today

    According to manual it should support InstantON...

    It might have the instant music player, but I doubt it has the dvd player. The only companies that signed a deal with InstantOn for that technology is HP and LG.

    Suppose it supports InstantON, not only this model, many the previous models also support this function, Hmm~~ let me check.

    ok i had to keep it pressed down for a bit, then the machine booted, started windows, went to windows logon, i logged on and im just at my desktop. The instant on LED is lit up and thats about it. Nothing else is happening

    Nothing happens because InstantON wasn't found. Without InstantON installed notebook boots to OS.

    I hoped someone got InstantON with A8Jc :/

    How is InstantON supposed to work? Does it come pre-configured with the A8J series? I've got an A8Jm, and when I press the button while laptop is off, it just boots to Windows.
