    http://translate.google.com/transla...j+benchmarks&start=10&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&sa=N

    Some benhmarks of the a8J. Here are some of the results:

    3DMark2001 1024*768 17706 || 1280*800 15773
    3DMark2003 1024*768 6701 || 1280*800 5648
    3DMark2005 1024*768 3617 || 1280*800 3272
    3DMark2006 1280*800 1918

    EDIT: Sorry shouldn't be the A8Jm i started going through the review in whatever the translation google provided, these seem to be the results of the ATI x1600 512MB, but I guess it should give a good idea of what we should expect from teh nVidia Go 7600 as well

    Not bad scores at all. I was expecting about the same performance of the X1600 but it looks a litle bit less.. I guess i'll be going with the S96J... I've had Nvidia cards for the past 2 graphics generations and I wanna go back to ATi for their sexier, more advertised cards and features ;)
    We all know Nvidia is ownage when it comes to gaming, but ATi has a lot more "bragging rights" due to the fact that their GPUs are more expensive than Nvidia's ;)

    eheheh... lucky me... does it really matter though? Can someone tell me how much difference really matters? eg.. aamit's up there gets 2330 something... it's a 50 point difference. Should we be concerned?

    The only change I've made was to set the Image Settings to Performance ( default is Quality ) in the NVIDIA Performance & Quality Setting, I guess that made the difference.

    These are the results with default settings:

    3DMark2005 1024*768: 3843
    3DMark2006 1280*800: 2287

    just on a side note, is anyone's keyboard getting louder, on the left side, like the shift/capslock, a, z, fn area buttons? They seem to be louder than the rest of the keyboard, and i cant seem to figure out what it is.

    yea, those are the keys that i mainly use to play counter-strike. Does anyone with keyboard experience knwo if this only gets worse, or is this as bad as it will get?

    This is pretty interesting actually.. Gustos A8Jm is equiped with 1gb of 533 ram while Darrick is equiped with 2gb of 677 ram and is only beating Gusto by 2 points. I guess RAM really doesn't matter at all in this benchmark. I wonder what the results would be if we used a true game benchmark like half life 2 or battlefield 2. Which recent games do you two own? Maybe we could benchmark the two systems head to head and see what type of real world difference the added ram will give.

    I would jump in there and benchmark my A8Jm, but the post office hasn't been so kind as to deliver it yet. :eek: Also since I haven't had a decent computer for around five years, my most graphic intensive game would probably be warcraft 3? Anyone down for comparing the fps difference. Thinks... 468 fps vs 839 fps at max resolution :p

    In benchmarks there can be no diffrence, but in games 2gigs of RAM will have influence for sure. Specially in BF2, FEAR, Oblivion.

    I have 2gb of ddr2 667 as well and i beat aamit's 3dmark05 (presumably he's using 1gb of ddr2) by 3 marks.
    I have half life 2 and play counter strike source regularly. If i run the built in benchmark for source i get around 117fps.

    I'm confused, which was the 36mark05 results for the A8JM with the nvidia 7600 512mb, and which was the score for the x1600?

    kengou... I believe all the marks here are for the A8Jm. Some are 3dMark05 and some 3dMark06, hence some in the 2000's and some in the 3000's

    the scores on teh first post of this thread are for the A8J with X1600. Then the ones from me, gusto and darrick are all nvidia 7600
