Hi,
I have been having concerns lately that my A8Jp may be overheating without obvious reasons. Specifically, the fan starts getting noisy after an hour of average workload (web surfing and some MS Office work). I was wondering if this is normal (I do not remember having this in the first two months of use of the laptop, which btw is four months old).
I use SensorsView to measure temperature: HD temp is 42C/108F after an hour - is this normal? Unfortunately the program mentions that it cannot scan any other sensors to measure the temp of other parts, nor the fan speed. I was wondering if there is another way to measure temperatures across CPU/motherboard, etc.
Help is appreciated. Tks. Kilgore

The HDD temperature is perfectly fine.
Did you check your CPU temps? If so, anything at or below 80c is fine. -
For CPU and HDD use:
Notebook Hardware Control
For GPU (videocard) use:
RivaTuner

If you haven't already, try cleaning out the vents.

I've had mine for 5 months. The temps you posted sound fine. For the fan noise, definitely check for dust/dirt buildup.
The main fan is under this panel (you need to remove 4 or 5 screws to get the panel out) and check to be sure the exhaust area is clear, too):
Asus A8Jp - Oveheating issue (?). Pls help!
