    Hello,
this is my first posting here and im not very familiar with english so please excuse my bad language.
For some days i have a very bad issue with my Display when im playing a 3d game (just tested with one) the notebook just freezed for some seconds then worked for some seconds and then freezed until i shut it off by pressing the button.
I thought that it might be overheated or something eventhough i didnt tweak or overclock anything just because the air that came out the fan hole was realy very hot (to hot to stand holding my fingers against it for a long time).
Then i tried using another graphic cards driver (the newest one from those laptop to go guys, but the first driver was the orgiginal one) and the issue changed a bit what made me worry. After playing some minutes (i checked GPU temp before it was about 73 degrees what is as far as i know not to mouch) half of the display went black. Im not shure if i just didnt look close enough whenn the first problems occured but this time the left part off the display was black and from the middle to the right side of the display it brightened and went nearly as bright as normal. i could see the rest of desktop there and also the mouse and everything runned normaly exept that the left part of the display was black. after rebooting it is perfectly normal again and now im posting this.

do you have any recommendations what i can do or how i can find out where the porblem is ? i have win xp 32 with every update available (autoupdate) if thats important

Please check the sticky for the cooling guide, it's quite likely your notebook is very clogged with dust.

You should not try to play games any more until you have attempted that. You might be getting quite close to overheating to an extent that might damage your hardware.

73 is a bit much for older-generation cards on idle (i.e. before starting the game).

EDIT: the cooling guide link is an autolink here is the ASUS-specific cooling guide written by coriolis:
