I just installed speed fan and it detected various temperatures on my a8js.

    Label Chip Sensor BUS
Local Temp MAX6657 Local Temp Intel SMBus
    RemoteTemp MAX6657 RemoteTemp Intel SMbus
    HD0 HD0 HD0 SMART
    Temp1 ACPI Temp1 ISA
Core 0 IntelCore Core 0 ISA
Core 1 IntelCore Core 1 ISA

Some of the readings seem obvious what part they're measuring but i'd like to ask someone who really knows to make sure...and also to tell me what everything else measures. Also, i would appreciate someone telling me what is standard operating temperatures for the various parts.

    Thanks
    Wai Jun

Use the NHC, they have labeled some of the temps and see which one matches with the one's indicated.
For me (with the W3J) :
Local turned out to be the insides.
    Remote was the CPU temp..
Temp0 was the GPU temp - the highest and the easiest the spot.
