ocn,
thanks a lot for the links. i bought a barebone w3v this morning and completed the assembly in about 2 hrs.
it might be too long for some, but it's an achievement for me. i've never done stuff like that before
i register to this forum also to say BIG thanks to everybody here.
i had already decided for sony s73 (us code s380), but changed my mind when i found this forum.
so far (after 12 hours) i believe i've made the right decision.

Is there a link to an assembly guide for V6 series, or is it the same/similar to one of the others?
I have sound knowledge in desktop hardware, but i've never owned a laptop before and buying 2x asus v6 on friday -
Bonjour à tous.
Could you please tell me how to use
these guides if I want to find
stuff compatible with Asus W2
notebook ?
What about the REAL availability
of 100 GB 7200 rpm 2.5" internal
HDD compatible with the ASUS W2 ? -
The w2v is still new, are there guides out? ASUS should have integration guides out soon for that, they have it for the other units.
And about the HD's, they are still rare but they are out - with a hefty price tag! -
Does anyone know if you can order a package (build-to-order) from the website identified in the initial post?
It would be quite intriguing to go that route if there were enough of a cost savings to justify the effort/risk. -

... No, they're a distributer and unless you have a license to sell computers, you couldn't get an account with them.

I'm doing some forum cleaning, gonna unsticky this but add the links to the sticky, of course with credits to ocn
