I’ve been looking around for a good notebook for a while now and have my eyes set on the new ASUS Bamboo Collection U43SD notebook.
What's your thoughts on this stylish ASUS bamboo-plated U43SD laptop ?
Has anyone had any experience with the previous generation Asus bamboo notebooks like the Asus U43Jc ?

The specs are quite good with only the GeForce GT 520M being a slight let down. Otherwise it offers good specs and a real innovative design.

We've actually had really good reaction to the initial series of Bamboo laptops. The U43JC has been a solid performer, it has rated well, and I really like that performance in comparison to its weight and battery life. I'm hoping the Sandy Bridge versions will bring more of the same.

Any idea on when is it going to be available???
My gf really needs a laptop now, And I'm wondering whether I should wait for the SD or just get the JC???
By the way, It does play HD movies and normal day-to-day stuff like that fluently, doesn't it?!?!
