    Hallo just bought my first Asus for his style and performance....could someone tell me if its worth it to improve the Ram from 4Gb to 6GB ,or what could i change to have a much better performance.

    You wont see a difference. The thing that would make the biggest difference would be an SSD, but they are still a relatively new product which means: expensive and unproven.

    Enjoy your new PC and maybe look into a SSD when the prices come down a bit more.

    The effect that the memory will have will be highly dependent on your usage. For basic usage, as Dreamliner mentioned, you wouldn't see a huge difference and one of your biggest speed boosts would come from getting an SSD. If you are doing a lot of rendering for photos and videos, the extra memory might be a little more noticeable.

    don't you lose the benefit of running the memory in dual-channel mode if you run different sizes?

    Exactly. the main use, is mostly photos and videos, and normal surfing, as a fan of ultra-portable 13,3 or 14 inches with optical drive, i`ve got allready an Acer timelineX, which i quite happy, i was wondering i could a make this new machine just more performante and faster.

    Asus bamboo for his style and good reliability as normally well knowed.....would prefer the other series U33, but no Optical drive....
