I was looking around on the web, and i saw that several Asus laptops have battery problems. It wasn't actually the battery itself, but it was something to do with the BIOS or something like that.
I was wondering if any Asus users out there have seen a significant battery decrease in every week.
I also was wondering if anyone knew when the new Transformer book was going to come out, and if so, what are your thoughts about this?
As a new potential customer to Asus, i was wondering if any current Asus laptop users could give a feel as to the build quality of Asus laptops, and if so, what laptop you use.
Thank you very much for your help!

The battery wear issue is a case by case thing; I don't think it's prevalent enough to be considered a common defect. But it does seem to be a bit more common on the ultrabooks I've noticed; especially more recent releases.

Hi prostar computer.
Thank you for your contribution. Should I be worried about the upcoming transformer book/vivo to have battery problems? Also, is there an easy fix to the battery wear issue?
Thank you once again -

There is a myriad of software and tips for optimizing battery power, and they DO help. The battery wear is something that is only going to be exacerbated over time; sadly, no Li-Ion or Lithium Polymer battery will last forever. But you can help prevent the rate of wear to a degree.
I wouldn't worry much about the new Vivo's battery.Only time will tell for sure, but I gather with current issues - which aren't horrendous by any means - the battery will be okay.
