My Asus C-90S keeps getting the BSOD, sometimes more than once in a row. It gets it while just working or gaming. It happens sometimes when I'm still starting up. I've tried reseating the ram and updating drivers. The specs are in my sig. Any more suggestions? I might have to send it back.

Is there a Minidump folder in the Windows Directory ?

Interestingly, the similar situation has happened recently with my daughter's oldie Acer TM 4505: BSOD one after another in absolutely random way. So, I've ordered 1 Gb memory (it is cheap and far bigger than original 256 x 2)
Second step: After each reboot XP has generated an error message and offered to forward it to Microsoft server somewhere. I agreed to send this error and I've got a response (almost immediately). In my case suspicion went on wireless card.
From device manager I've disabled wireless to verify the perpetrator.
Second step was easy – I have old PCMCIA wireless from era before Centrino when wireless was not a staple. This old Linksys WPC54G is working now
Send an error message when you are asked to. -
Did you see that ?

That could fix your BSOD ? -
the c90s is VERY VERY picky with ram. What kind to you have installed?

He has the corsair value select 2x1gb modules that it shipped with(he lives down the hall from me)

The driver installed and it seems to be working. Only time will tell.

I was ready to send it back, I had put it in the box.
And I saw what I wrote above, on vip.asus.com .
First I desactived ITE driver, and it works
So, does it works for you too ?

So far it's working. I installed the ITE driver that was in the link you gave me, and haven't had a BSOD since. Thanks a bunch.

Actually my C90S is running without BSOD.
