    Asus C90P Unable to complete Bios Update

    I'm trying to flash a C90P board with 8400 CPU, here's what happens when I do it from a thumb drive.

    It reads the file C90P.ROM which is the one I got off Angels site and it says BIOS Rom ID Incorrect. This is with EZflash, doesn't work with AFUDOS and AFWIN doesn't run on the Windows 7 install,
    I ran CMD to find info on Mobo and it says "Asustek Product C90P, Serial Number NB-012345678 Ver 2.2 if that helps, I don't have any idea what version EZflash it is?

    Any idea what's wrong?

    Hope this helps and you can help me figure out what's wrong, also the CD Rom, isn't reading when I try that method. It says not found. Not sure if it's my cd player or what and when I hookup a USB external CD Rom it treats it like a flash drive and same error incorrect ID.

    If King Of Interns or Limpem are around, they might be able to shed some more light I would think. Limpem flashed his but he didn't say in the old thread and I have no idea how.

    If I remember rightly the C90S and C90P use different chipsets so it's correct you can't crossflash BIOS files from each other.

    Hi I just saw your reply, actually those are both files for C90P and C90S you just can't use C90S files on C90P but you can Vice Versa, I have been touch with both Angel and Limpem and I still have not been able to flash this damned bios I either get compatibility errors or error opening ROM I have successfully installed the CD image that Angel provides on his burned it and booted from it but no joy, really scratching my head on this one, any other thoughts you might have? Thanks

    Help I still haven''t figured out what CPU I need for the bios on the C90P to flash the BIOS, the BIOS flashed with the CPU I have, but it didn't stick if that makes any sense.
