Your power supply might be struggling to supply the laptop enough power. I suggest undervolting your CPU with RMclock. You ought to be able to shave some volts off the CPU voltage and still be able to reach gaming OC with turbogear, in addition your temperatures will drop.

That is something only you can tell, I haven't a E6700 to test and of course all CPU's are different. Simply OC to 2.93 ghz then keep reducing the voltage in very small steps followed by an othos/prime95 CPU stress test, then continue this way until you reach the lowest stable voltage that will allow you to run 2.93ghz stably.

    Hi,
I just read the topics that you gave me. I think that is another BSOD, it was one that in the begining apear in the boot sequence, caused by a IR bad driver, my situation is when i do the overclock :s

Look, did you follow the tuturial of the NightWalker to put a 9600M GT in your laptop??? With the heatspreader???

    Hello,

And for the processor, did you need some special bios, or you just apply the CPU?

    Hi,

Yes, E7500 needs a special bios, but ASUS doesn t give any.
But some guis are as good/clever so they can write a biosmod.
Just follow the links in my signature, you ll find to dl and how to proceed.

    ;)

I think it wasn't so hard, rather easy.

    Tools that I used :
    a hacksaw,
    a metal file,
a drill diameter 2 or 2.5 mm, with an electric drill.
