First of all, this machine is a beast. I am happy, however, 65% of the time. Everything works beautifully when the machine is plugged in and running. The problems truly arise once the machine is a.) transfered to battery mode b.) started in battery mode.

Before I get to the battery mode problems, I wanted to ask if anyone else is having problems with their sound on their machine?

Problem: Sound is either inaudible or completely turned off.
    Noticed when:
1.) Computer wakes up from "sleep" or when lid is opened and computer comes out of hibernation.
2.) Coming out of "locked" mode.

    My solutions that sometimes work:
    1.) Turned off Sleep Mode.
    2.) Never close the lid.

Still, the sound never is working at 100% even when I do both of those tasks. It is a laptop, so being able to make my desk have less clutter is a big reason why I own a laptop. Any known fixes/problems for this?

Now, on to battery mode problems.

    Problems:
1.) Wireless adapter is either turned off, not being recognized, or just not able to find KNOWN networks.
2.) Getting an error saying that I do not have any wireless adapters.
3.) Fingerprint scanner is not being recognized time-to-time. (Haven't noticed any patterns.

Basically, the entire point of owning a laptop is for it to be portable and use anywhere. I am unable to move around my apartment because I will have to reset the laptop numerous times for it to recognize that I actually do have a wireless network setup and yes, I do have a wireless adapter on the laptop. Very, very frustrating.

Has anyone, after these few months, found any fixes for the above mentioned problems?

Really? If so, I think I shall leave work early to find out. I have edited my battery/power settings, but I honestly don't think I've ever seen that screen or those options. I'll let you know. In the mean time, I'll be accepting more suggestions! :p

Nope not have had any of those problems. Where did you buy your c90 from?

Actually my new c90 has no problems whatsoever (knock on wood).

All I can recommend is update bios and drivers and go from there. Should help with sound and wifi issues.

Had the sound issues, fixed them though.

    http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Go there and download the top one (the zip file) of the newest realtek high definition audio drivers, and it should fix your issues, it did mine.

I attempted to use the updated ASUS sound drivers and my headphones and speakers I would plug in stopped working, so I downloaded the Realtek and have had zero problems ever since.

Yeah, I know realize I've seen that screen numerous times, but it just looked different on my end. I'll try downloading the above mentioned drivers.

I have only had the sound wig out on me when i have switched between different external speakers. Rebooting seems to fix this issue.

I've also seen the video card get confused when I've switched the output between my TripleHead2go setup and my TV. I guess that's understandable given the massive difference in resolution. Again, reboot, retry, the Microsoft way.

Once you get the Realtek file downloaded, go to Device Manager, open up the drop-down box for Sound Devices, right click Realtek, go to Driver, go to Update Driver, and click Browse For Driver (or whatever), then find and open the directory where you extracted the driver.
