USB device not recognized
This continues to happen over and over..
I'll be using a controller.. the noise of it plugging in, and out, repeats.
It'll act right on ocassion, it's not the physical port, I switched to the back usb ports, same thing..
Any ideas? I already went into the manager and disabled the pc from disabling the device to save power.. still screws up.
USB Device = Logitech Controller (Dual Action) without the vibration effect.

If it's not the physical port, are you sure the hardware that you are pluggin in is working properly? Could be an OS issue...reinstall!
-
lol the typical "idk whats wrong.. uhhh re-install the OS" reply..
Not the kinda answer I was looking for.. -
What exactly is the device? If it's flash, is it formatted?
-
Logitech Controller, Dual Action, no vibration ability.
-
I take it you have the drivers for it installed?
-
Yeah, kind of a silly question..
While we're at it, their the latest off their site.
I've also gone back to prev. versions. -

What OS Vista? and it says Vista compatible right?
Some things like my Plantronics DSP500s wont work on Vista anymore :/ -
I once had a problem with Vista. It couldn't load ANY usb drivers anymore
-
XP Pro sp2.. *sigh*
-
Install the device on a desktop preferably with the same OS.
-
hmm no, 80% of vista's problem are caused by a messed up installation from my personal experience. -

This might sound silly, but try a different USB port. USB devices often require a different resource ID when connected to a port, and when connected to another, the driver needs to install completely again(the tooltip comes up again).
If that doesn't work. Try uninstalling the driver completely and use a registry cleaner to remove the reg entries as that may be causing the problem.
I've seen devices work on 1 port and then have it fail later on(possible from a bad disconnect) which would require you to reinstall the driver.
If it still doesn't work, then try it on another computer to see if the device isn't the one that's faulty. -

My Response: The help is appreciated but its just not appreciated to use indirect sarcasm like that.. please grow up and learn not to reply like that.
In Response to D3X - Look I ain't tryin to sound or be mean.. but did you read what I posted? I already tried different usb ports. However I'll look into the registry.. I just hate when people suggest re-installing windows for every little thing.. its not ALWAYS necessary. -
Besides, did you read my post? There's a lot of things I also mentioned, which includes trying on a different computer entirely. -
@OP: did you ever get the controller working? I've had problems with various controllers over the years when the drivers were written for an OS. Check other forums for workarounds re Vista, whatever? Not the C90s, doubt it anyway.
