    Hello,
As I am getting ready to order up my V6J, I see an option for a car charger.

What is the difference between the car charger and the normal charger? Does it plug in to a 12v lighter plug or ?

With all my various "geek gear" I have considered running some more lines from the battery to the fuse box, then the box to a outlet panel that would have cables coming out for the different gear....

Would it just be better to use a 12v-120v converter?

#2: Is there any real reason (having the Asus logo on it does not count) to have a "Asus" case versus a non-Asus case for my laptop?
Getting a laptop without touching it requires a lot faith, getting a laptop AND carrying case without feeling the case is a bit harder to do...

Yea, I'm assuming it pugs into that. Not like your laptop can use the gasoline ;)

As for the case, it can be anything heh. I'm guessing case = sleeve? Or case = bag?

........ I am so dumb! Okay, no case on PPs site _ I have been to so many reseller sites that they are all the same to me...

It looks like Geared2Play and Agearnotebooks have carrying cases, but ya know, I would rather touch and open and see the case before I get one. Office Depot here I come!

Another option...take a look at the Juice 70 from igo.com (deep link: http://www.igo.com/product.asp?sku=2366908)

I picked up one of these for work recently and it seems pretty good. Essentially one pack lets you pick and plug what you want...ie car vs house; you can also charge your cell phone and computer at the same time; it's very flexible, build quality is good and compared to what you pay for an asus charger, not that much more expensive.

One other note...when you search for the power-tip that fits Asus, you frequently get "no matches found...call the 800 number". I called and they do have tips that fit Asus notebooks.
