    Hi all,

I have a Asus Degatto D1TP desktop replacement here. Everytime it boots it jumps straight to the bios, to the cpu settings. It says there was a problem with hung time and that the cpu frequencies are wrong. I have tried the following:

    1. I have tried 400mhz/533mhz fsb processors and they all give the same error. When booting the bios always underclocks them.

    2. The bios is upto date. by the way, it is a phoenix bios. When I change the mulitplier settings it will still boot to bios. Please note that it doesnt give me a chance to continue on, it boots straight to bios

    3. I have replaced the bios battery and hence reset it, didnt work.

I am leaning towards a new psu. It doesnt have the original and it undervolts to about 17-18v (instead of 19v). Although the VCORE voltage is correct so I'm not sure if a new psu would help.

    My options are:

    1. try a lower clock speed cpu (I've only got a 2.66/533 and a 2.8/400)
    2. replace the psu (which is expensive so I only want to do it if it does fix the problem)

both of these options will cost me money and I dont want to spend it unless I think it will work. Some confirmation would be very helpful

    PS, heres some background info
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Forum- D1T won't hold cpu speed

    thanks!

For future reference, you should post in the DTR (desktopreview.com) forums as your particular issues is of a desktop nature and will most likely yield more replies there. NBR is solely dedicated to notebooks/laptops, hence the lack in participation from other members.
