    Hey guys, I just got my g1s today, and I've been messing around with the asus utilities and I can't find how to set direct messenger so that it will show my caller id through bluetooth. Anyone succesful with this? Couldn't find it anywhere

    As far as I know, Direct Messenger can in fact display Caller ID but not from your mobile phone but from your regular landline! Yes I know that's stupid, but that's the way it is. I think you can also use it on Skype but I'm not interested so I've never tried it either one.

    I think that Direct Messenger is a joke, It would have been more useful like to display Temps and other system status. MS Messenger does not make full use of it either, it just pops the name of the person in your conversation, but not the message itself. Bummer.

    The Direct Messenger cool factor dies pretty quick IMHO.

    I just hope someone develops something more useful for Windows XP/Vista (I know there are some working on the Linux front so it's possible).

    Could someone tell me if the direct messenger thing shows either the name of the person talking to you on msn messenger or the message they're sending you ?

    Yeah. Its a cool idea, its just that... an idea. There is no real use for it. I would love to see more apps and uses for it. All it does for me is just scroll "Miyabina" heh
