Anywhere near London? Go to Totemham Court Rd, if you pay cash you can get a discount.

Tott Ct Road used to be great years ago, but now I feel they are very overpriced and quite a few of them are rip off merchants. Be very carefull dealing with the guys there.

Other UK based Acer retailers include:

www.laptopsdirect.co.uk (but watch their credit card charge)

    http://www.microanvika.com/asus/

    Sure there are more.

I have been into their premises in London bunch of nice european guys, but they dont have a display room so dont expect to see anything there.

If you are in London They do offer a 3% cash or bank transfer or cheque discount (although each later one comes with a 7 day delay ) and even then its only a matter of about £34, and it beats the cash price down Totenham Court Rd.

As others have said Toten Court Rd is a very dodgy place in deed, the amount of Bull I have heard in shops by sales men is absoloutely frightening.

One guy didnt know what a chipset was, another was trying to tell me that the intel graphincs chip was a dedicated graphics card!!?? anothyer telling some lady that a laptop running an athlon 64 processor today would run twice as fast when Visat comes out??? you have to laugh
Another example was after I got a new phone, I went to a shop down TCR wanted £30 to unlock it and it would take overnight??? it was a new release but £30!!!!! I spotted a Vodafone store and thought what the hell, I went in and it only cost £20 to get it done properly..... I could go on all day like this.....

All I can say is buyer be ware, as long as you research before you buy and never trust any salesperson (most of them dont know what they are talking about) you cant go wrong. :D
