    Nice :)

N280 is 66MHz faster... but the bus speed is 667 instead of 533, so that will be sweet.

Yea and optical drive FTW. Sorely lacking on my N10J. Totally moving in the right direction.

Now for some dual core goodness... and I'll be reaching for my plastic ;)

I have a feeling there is a while yet to wait for that though.

    Nice find Red Dragon!
Yes, an optical drive is indeed ideal :) Though, I hope it doesn't tax the battery life that much.

I think it's going to be more like Jun-ovemeber. Knowing Intel. They need to bleed that supply chain dry in this economy. Where is my T9800??!?!

Depends i guess as long as your not using it your fine.

This notebook also has a 1.3mp webcam which is pretty cool on a netbook and the keyboard is pretty much a full keyboard.

    Plus N wireless.

I think laptop mag or some other place made a writeup on the 1004DN during CES a few weeks back. My guess is the battery life will run at about 3 and a half hours without an optical drive and less with one. Kind've disappointing how ASUS is opting for weaker batteries on mobile PC netbooks without any options to upgrade. Still, I like that they are FINALLY working on the right shift key. Still a bit small but getting better.

I think Asus will eventually give optional larger capacity batteries for those who need it, i think people who own these eee dont really complain about the batter life this is why Asus didnt both using a full 6 cell

ASUS has specifically stated that they have no plans to provide any optional batteries. I find it a problem that people don't complain if they aren't, when they should be doing that. The problem to me comes when a few months later, your battery will lose life. So that 3 and half hours of battery life will be down to 2 and half in a few months. Battery life is probably the biggest advantage of a netbook over buying a cheap, low class mobile Celeron notebook.

well i remember asus Claiming that there new batteries they get 5 hours off a 2 cell!

If this is true maybe the newer models coming out will have this new type of advertised power
