Wooo, cool. Besides Battery life... hmm. Don't know. A disassembly, so to see if the second PCIe slot is still there, and to see if the flash memory is still soldered, maybe. Oh, and to see if you can use the sd-card slot to boot/install OS's on and installing applications on the SD-card and compare performance. Can't think of anything else right now.

    Test the battery life.
Add another 512 MB (DDR2) stick to it.

Oooh, perfect, I've been waiting a while for someone to ask me that. If you get the webcam version, please take a few pics/videos, I have seen a low res cam take great photos (just lower res) and I've also seen a different one produce some of the worst. So I'd like to see whether or not ASUS cheaped out on that. Also, I know it's a heavily customized environment, I'd like to know how modifiable it is.

    Thanks very much!

Muahahaha, it plays dvix/xvid out of the box perfectly. Screen isnt that bad either, and the viewing angles are surprisingly good.

How is the OS? Does it do what it is supposed to do really well, or is it just ok, or bad?

What kind of RAM does it use?

The main thing about this EeePC is that it has very limited HDD Space. What are practical ways to increase space without having things dangling all over?

I was thinking a 8GB SDHC Card, but are there any other options?
