    Pretty thin for a 17" I might say.

    Looks like the exact chassis as the Z83v too.

    wow. its a monster next to the v6j, but yes, its it kinda thin for a 17 inch machine.

    how does this compare to apple mac pro that just came out?

    friend offered a 15% discount..

    anw, i took a look at a6j yesterday, and was a bit disappointed with the position of the speakers, and thought the look was ok.

    is the a7 built similar to a6j?

    The 17" A7J would be a totally different weight and size class compared to the MacBook Pro. The closest dual core competitors to it that Asus has would be the W3j and the V6j. I don't count the A6j as a competitor since it's heavier by a pound and thicker by half an inch.

    i think that A7J's resolution still the same as z83v, only up to 1400x900, right??
