These new configurations without the bag and mouse, does this only affect US or is it being implemented globally?

    Thanks

Well you're getting what you pay for and every country has always had their own options to do what they want... so I can't say for sure. This certainly affects this hemisphere.

Will resellers still be selling notebooks configured on the Asus Z70VA by spring or summer of 06?
Will they have updated components, such as new graphics card like the Radeon Mobility X1600?
    Or the new Yohan processors?

I don't want to get an ugly notebook :( And I am in love with the Asus Z70VA, though I was thinking of waiting till I can get a good looking thin and light with an X1600....
If Asus has nothing sexy planned before August of 06, I might as well by a Z70VA now, eh?

    What are your thoughts?

This thread is about the Ensemble line, so please don't change the subject even though I will answer your question here......

    1. No.... The Z70 series may be updated, but it obviously won't be a Z70va. This chassis is already 2 years old as of this week, and even though it seems as though it's still cutting edge, I'm not sure if the design will carry through for another refresh. So far there are no signs that it will, but at that rate there are no signs that ANY system whose design didn't appear for the first time this year, will continue on down the road. This means that there is a possibility that after the new models come out.... and then after this years NEW models have been refreshed....... that MAYBE the Z70 series will be refreshed. I think we'd be looking at May/June of next year if at all.
