I just recently recieved this laptop:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220163

My question is, I can't get the wireless card to pick up any signals. It comes with an Intel Pro (and then some numbers) and no matter where I go, nothing will pick up. I've tried at multiple places including a few friends house, my sister's work, and my house. Should I just try and get a replacement? I really don't know where else to look for answers. I appreciate any input.

have you checked the wireless switch(if there is one at all)? Sometimes it's FN+some F1-F12 Key.

I've also tried installing new drivers, but they were already up to date.

Found out that it says the reason it isn't connecting is because the local area connection is not enabled when clearly it is on my desktop. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have both wireless and lan enabled at the same time? try disabling the lan if you do and then refreshing the wireless connections....

I meant disable the local area connection on your laptop. Only have the wireless enabled....then refresh connections

Maybe you have a dud card. Send the whole thing back to newegg.com saying you got a defective wi-fi card.

    Nope, Norton is not installed.
That's what I was thinking Guatam. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something silly. It's going back unless anyone can think of a solution :p
