    Hi,

I am trying to repair an Asus F3J notebook for a friend.

The bottom case has broken around the L/H hinge and the screen and hinge has ripped away from the base, taking the inverter plug with it, but leaving the short black wire (earth?) screwed to the post on the bottom case, but free at the other end.

I have a new bottom case, but am unsure where the black wire connects to (presumably inside the screen surround).

Can anyone give me a picture showing the black wire connections around the L/H hinge?
