    can anyone tell he if the asus f3jp intel(r)core(tm)2 cpu [email protected]
    with 2047 mb off ram
    ati x1700
    will run the sims2 game?

    uh....yes.

    My F3JP runs WoW on all high settings with no problem. SIMS2 is a fairly old game with pretty low system requirements. I'm sure it would run fine. Although you may run into problems with Vista. I cannot comment on that since I switched to XP. But there is an option to run programs in XP mode so I would think you are safe.

    can not get sims2 to run install ok but will not run have got a acer 1640 with vista on a different hard drive work first time do you think that its vista on the asus

    Do you get any errors? Did you try setting the program to run as administrator? Did you set it to run in XP mode? I believe you can set both of these by right clicking on the shortcut and selecting properties.
