I have an Asus F3JP and the problem here starts with the hinges of the monitor. They are so hard in opening and close that my computer start to have a small crack on the cover close to the support of the left hinge. By opening and closing it the hinges start to break the screws that support them to the case and now it is lose. The problem here is that the hinges broke the inverter terminals and the image looks very dark. At first I hold the terminals with my fingers to be able to see the image, but now if I do that the monitor looks completely white. If I connect it to an external monitor everything looks fine.

Is the problem here only consist to change the inverter or also there is another component of the monitor that works with the image that need to be change?

Thank you for any help possible

If you are still under warranty I would suggest you send it in for repairs (unless you're in the UK).

Otherwise I suggest opening it up to see exactly what cables/connectors are broken, and then order replacements from them, as well as for the hinges and any plastic case components that are broken (see the Info Booth for how to order ASUS parts). This should not be too expensive, at least not if you order from the US ASUS eStore -- since from your description all those parts are cheap ones.
