    Asus F3Sa versus F8Sa
What is really difference between these 2 models except size?
they both hold ATI Radeon HD 2600. And that is what I am been told to look for. That's whay I was waiting for F8Sa to come out.

I need a laptop to run Virtual DJ program for live mixing videos.
Therefore I need a strongest graphic & processor that I can find.
So far I am using a PC at the moment with ATI 1300 and it runs well (as can be seen on the video below).

I was waiting for months to F8Sa to be available in stores, but still isn't. At least in Europe. And I have been waiting too long.
So I am hopping that F3 could be an alternative.

Here is what I do. I mix Video music clips as other DJ's mix normal audio music.

I thank in a front to anyone that can help me to get rid of my doubts :)

You wouldn't by any chance have already filled out the FAQ in the What Should I Buy forum would you? If you have, link me up because I'd like to know what other needs you have (size, weight, budget, etc).

From what I can see in that video (thanks for posting that) there does not seem to be much graphical stuff going on so I think any dedicated video card will work. However I can see how you would need a strong processor.

I would just like to know a difference between these two, if any.
And trust me it needs a really, and I mean really strong graphic.

It mixes two videos at the same time with audio and video effects going on at the same time, plus uploading a next video around every 2 minutes, etc. In real time.
Strong processor & quick hard disk would also be nice since uploading files has to be as short as possible. Yeah, and size of a files are from 70MB up to 350MB size.

Thanks for the explanation - that is heavy duty stuff indeed. Since this thread is entirely about Asus notebooks I'll move it to the Asus forum for you. I can tell you that if the specifications are the same then the performance will be the same.

You don't need that much of a graphics card. The GF 8400/8600 have purevieo HD and the mobility Radeon 2400/2600 were made with HD videos in mind so...

You might need like 3GB of RAM and a T7500.

For the differences, well, the F3 is 15'' and the F8 is 14''

    OK, tnx
And yes, u r rite, Asus forum fits better to the subject;-)

Hmm, Why do you think I need 3GB of ram?
My PC handles it with 2GB with no prob.
    (+ Core 2 Duo 2x2.13 & ATI x1300)
and my CPU is always on low, maximum it reaches to the half (as it is shown in the Virtual DJ program itself)

That's what I figured, but still wanted to be sure.
    Tnx
