Anybody has this specific model? I'm interested in how's the display and what temperatures you get under normal and heavy use.

I know that all the F3 models have the same case, I've read the reviews, but some people mention that their F3 runs pretty hot while others think theirs runs pretty cool - this varies based on the actual model and configuration. That's why I'm asking about this particular one.

So, isn't there anybody who has this model? I think it's sold mostly in Europe. There's also an F3T model which has Go 7600 - the F3Tc has a Go 7300. People on Newegg complain about the F3T running hot - this might be also because of the more powerful video card, but I wonder if it's true for the F3Tc model too.

The go7300 doesnt generate much heat i find my HD is hotter and more noticeable.

The F3Tc i think has an AMD CPU which does consume more power than an Intel Core Duo so that could be why.

Some of the things that are very important to me are my budget ;) and how hot the laptop gets, because heat shortens the life of the components. The F3T is more expensive than the F3Tc. I don't need a powerful CPU, I don't need a very powerful GPU; I prefer a Go 7300 over a 7600 just because it doesn't get as hot and is less expensive. I was initially going to settle for a Go 6100, but I noticed that a Go 7300 generates a similar TDP and its performance is far better than a Go 6100.

So I prefer the F3Tc over the F3T. BTW, both have AMD CPUs.

I can't help you with the F3Tc, but if heat is an issue steer clear of the F3T. I have one and it gets hot! Which isn't a huge problem except the hottest part of the laptop is the touchpad and bottom right hand corner of the laptop, which both get uncomfortably hot, even while I am just typing right now, unless I turn on my cooler.

Other than the heat issue I am quite happy with the laptop.

I bought the Asus F3T. I'm satisfied with the performance and the display. But the heat at the right hand of the touchpad is really unconfortable. Only because of this I wouldn't buy it anymore. I'm also bothered about the life time of the components.

The F3T is known to have heat issues under the right palm rest, as with the W7J from my normal use (using all system resources for testing and such). If you get really uncomfortable with the heat, simply dim your screen, and cut back your system resources, and set your power4gear to office use or something to cut back the CPU usage...that is if you have power gear running

With RMClock running on battery saver/performance on demand the notebook doesnt get too warm.

Oddly enough, the top of the system gets warmer than the bottom. Go figure.
