Apologies if this is in the wrong place, or has been asked before...

My volume was working fine until a few hours ago, and I don't think I changed anything. Whenever I use the function and mute/volume up/volume down keys, nothing happens. It's not a problem with my function key because I can still change my brightness and the other things.

    Can anyone help please?

    Try reinstalling the ATK drivers...

Nevermind, I went into the Control Panel and chose Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices. The sound playback had changed to another program that I had just installed. I changed it back to RealTek.

    Thanks anyway!

Check if HControl.exe is running in your task manager processes. It controls your hotkeys.

    Then it should be.

You might have disabled it from MSConfig / Startup, or from the registry, or using some other program. Try to undo that.

If you don't know how to undo it, reinstall the ATK driver & utilities.

Hmm, yeah it's not even in the startup. I didnt see anything in services either although I'm not sure it would have been in there. I looked in both places for ATK which I assumed was correct, unless it's under something else? I've never messed with my registry so I'm confused why it's not even running. I looked in my programs folder, programs and features folder, and everything is there as well.

I downloaded the latest ATK drivers incase I had to install them before I made these post, can I get help with the install? Do I have to just simply uninstall the current ATK from the programs and features menu then reinstall the new drivers?

Yep, that's what you should do.
