    Hi there
I have a F50SV laptop. The external speakers are not turning off when I plug in a headset. I made sure the jack is fully inserted. Is this hardware or software problem? I tried to turn off the external speakers but could not find figure it out. Every attempt also shut down the headset

Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.
thanks in advance for any replies

It sounds like a stuck headphone jack. You can try plugging and unplugging the headphones a few times to try and get the jack to work correctly again, or there is a registry tweak to force the setting.
