Hello, first of all, thank you for your time and eye strain.

I have a laptop problem where I dropped it in the airport (while in the bag) and ever since, when I turn on the laptop the screen comes on (faint[normal] backlight) and the screen is dark wit ha series of very fine vertical lines.

If I squeeze the screen it works, but when I let go, the screen freezes at the image of when it was last being squeezed with some random horizontal lines.

I made a video of the problem (minorly disassembled to see the back of the panel) Any thoughts/ideas?

This is a clear sign of a loosened connector. Disassemble the part which you are squeezing and tighten the cable connectors nearby.
