Any one have any info on this machine?

I was browsing the ASUSTeK site and bumped into pics and specs but that's all.

I can't find any thing anywhere on this laptop.

Anyone that has bought / tried the Asus F6S? Or even found any reviews or pics? The specs and price seems nice, but can't really find anything about it...

Looks like a budget portable. Don't expect stellar build quality, and also the battery life will probably be abysmal (typical for latest ASUS laptops).

Besides, yeah, it seems there is little info on the web about it. Either very new, or very local (only sold in a few countries). There is a plethora of budget ASUS laptops, most in the 15.4 range, that I see in stores but find little info about on the web.

Found some more of the machine:

    - Seems to be mainly sold in Germany. ( German thread )
    - Black or white covers. I love the white one!
    - I guess the quality is the same as the rest of the F-series. The battery time for this one seems to be the same ~2hrs

Now I should just decide wheter to with this one or the F8Sn.
F6s is cheaper, smaller, less powerfull, smaller ress and has HDMI. The F8Sn I've been looking at also comes with Vista Ultimate.

Thought I'd share a couple of pictures I found browsing the web. Please note that they are not mine!

Looks like a decent machine. The white one looks nice indeed, but in the long term I would still recommend the black one. Less prone to stains / dirt etc.

As to this vs. the F8, it depends what you need the computer for. If you don't game and want something that's very portable, for instance, then you want the F6.

there's a high chance i'll buy this one instead of the w7sg (due to the heat)

once i double check there's no heat problems (or less heat compare to the w7) i'll buy it and post a review

so far so good, there's no heat issue's like the w7, but i really don't like the keyboard it seems a little too sticky, the keyboard on my w3 is alot better.

Look forward to hearing your opinion of it. I just started shopping and this is on top of my list right now. Love to hear if it has any annoying quirks or not.

I'm currently in Taiwan right now and Asus has the F6E and F6S here.

The F6S here is silver / black and has only a Core Duo T2370 with 1GB of memory , 160GB HDD and a Nvidia 9300 video card and the F6E has a Core Duo T5750 with 1GB of memory, 160GB HDD and integrated video card.

The F6S is about $880 here while the F6E is about $980. If only the F6S had a faster processor and integrated graphics, I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

If anyone wants pictures of the these laptops, I might be able to stop by a shop and take pictures of them.

For anyone who owns one of these F6's with a HD3470 in it, what's the battery life like?
