I am looking for an extended battery (larger than the 6 cell) for the F8VA. Does anyone make this? All I can find are the normal 6 cells. Are all the F8 batteries compatible with each other? Thanks for the help.

F8 series don't have larger celled batteries since the battery bay doesn't really allow for it.

That's disappointing. They should make one that sticks out the bottom. How many mAH is the standard F8 battery.

It's a 6-cell, which in the ASUS Penryn world spells roughly 2:30 to 3 hours, I believe.

Edit: after checking the review, Ken got 2:12 actually... worse than my estimate. :(

Is that with a 4800mah battery? I don't think they make any other sizes.

I don't know the exact capacity, but 4800 sounds right for a 6-cell. It's the 6-cell, and indeed I think the only batt for the F8.

Probably your best bet. Problem I have with 9-cell batteries is that they cost too much and tend to only provide 30 to 60 minutes of extra use compared to a 6 cell. Then again, it also depends on the specs of the laptop. The fact that Asus laptops tend to have the fan constantly running, such as in the F8 series, contributes to power usage, but the trade off is that your laptop isn't so hot to touch.
