Hey everyone, it seems like the F8sn is pretty good. I was wondering if the battery life was okay (3-4 hours). I highly doubt it as it has a pretty fast GPU.

is there any benchmark or info regarding battery life?

    Thanks

Its just like all the other Asus laptops. They all come with abismal battery life. I have yet to see one that sticks to its claims fo 3-4 hours. But honestly you can crack about 2 1/2 hours from it, with low power settings. Asus essentially uses the same layouts, same designs, and same poorly built batteries for all its laptops.

Otherwise I am sure the laptop is great in every other respect, as what I have noticed with most Asus's, especially my own.

The answer is no. The battery does not stick out like other Asus notebooks and the battery compartment can only fit a standard 6 cell battery.

ive been wondering? could this crack 3 hours with some undervolting in NHC. I know my s96j gains about 30 minutes going from 2:30 of web browsing/note taking to about 3:00 with an undervolt of two selections at each step

how about the F9S, does it have a 9 cell battery. I know the 6 cell itself sticks out. But it would be great if 9 cell was also available for this model.

Currently there's no 9-cell battery for the F9 series notebooks.

this is very frustrating.. i am not technical enough to uderstand some of the chat regarding changing how to make the battery last longer..mine drives me mad... always under 2hrs no matter what the powersaving settings are...

does the amount of processes running make a difference.. vista home premium seems to have heaps... would i get better results if i went back to XP...or changed to linux (havent looked at that yet)
