I just got this little bugger and so far it has been great! I even upped it to 2gb of ram. I'm new to asus so what's my best way to start optimizing this bad boy?
I already uninstalled norton and installed AVG as well as firefox.
What programs can I take off the startup? What can I uninstall completely? As of right now, I won't bother with a clean-install yet. Anyone else have this notebook? Cause it seems no one does. Is it quite new?
Thanks in advance for any help

Congrats, the F9 looks like an awesome notebook, small yet packs a punch. I'd recommend removing Norton AV and ASUS Live Update. The wireless clients, like the BT stacker, ASUS Wireless, etc. are optional but useful.

hey; ur from redflagdeals lol. my meizu is great
I got a great deal for this F9J. It cost me 1350+tax Canadian. But free upgrade to 2gb of ram. So I couldn't resist. -
WOW! What a co-incidence!
My M6 is hanging great as well, though my << button doesn't work well, but I barely use it.
Mind if I ask where? Oh, and is a review coming soon? -
Yes, I would be very interested in seeing a review of this machine as well.
It will be interesting to see how this stacks up with the S37s and W7s already in the Asus lineup, along with the other 12/13" performance notebooks.
You meizu people and your crazy PVPs....I want to see if the Meizu miniOne (iPhone ripoff) comes into existance...it will be nice if it does. -
I bought it at pacificnotebooks in pmall. I think their sale is over now for this laptop. It's 1350 with no 2gb ram, just the 1gb.
I wouldn't mind writing a review, but the problem is I have exams now and they end in 2 weeks. But by that time, i'm sure milestone PC will have his up. If you still want one at that time, I'll gladly write one up; although it would be my first review. Hahaha. So you guys have any tips as to what I should do with this laptop? or point me in a direction to speed this thing up?
Cuz right now, on bootup; it runs about 70 processes -
Should be fine, 2 reviews per notebook is good enough, MPC is a dealer, so their reviews are taken with a grain of salt since they are not 'end-users' unlike people who buy the notebook to actually use in real life situations. The compensation for doing a review is a small bit of cash, it may help with buying an accessory or two

I cut mine down to 37 on startup (started at 82 or something after a system restore...Damn Sony bloatware).
Start by deleting random programs you don't need. Norton or any other anti-virus, Skype, AOL crapware, etc. Then, follow this guide, and you should be good. -
this computer seems great.A least i am not playing games and i dont need great perfomances, so i will enjoy withthis computer so long years insallah.
