Check out this product page from the Nerds.net

    http://www.thenerds.net/ASUS.NB_C2D...Duo_Processor_T7500.90NETA4231283CQL750Y.html

They list two Asus F9S notebooks differing in price of about $50.

The more expensive one claims to be a SideShow notebook...is that possible?!

I haven't read anything about a sideshow model of the F9S, even from Asus, so I'm thinking this is just a mistake on their part.

Can anybody explain here? There are only 2 left, so I want to get my order in soon if this in fact is an F9S with sideshow.

    Thanks!

The only Asus notebook with Vista Sideshow is the W5. All published data and pix of the F9, including the F9s-B1, have nothing external in the lcd lid - it's a typo.

Thats what I thought...just needed a "Notebook Evangelist" to confirm it for me :)

I went ahead and ordered the F9S-B1 from zipzoomfly. They had a $30 rebate which made the price lower than anywhere else that I have seen, $1229 shipped.

This will be my third Asus notebook after two A8J series ones. I am looking forward to the increased specs and decreased size.

BTW, I should be able to use my extra 1GB DDR2 667 RAM from the A8JS in the F9S, right? I think the mem specs should be the same but I am not familiar with the santa rosa memory reqs.
