    Asus F9s, how to burn the vista DVD?

    I just a Asus F9s from a member of another forum, he lost the CD so he told me its saved on to the HDD of the laptop... how do i access this part of the HDD and burn the CD?

    Acronis True Image is a great program for copying the hidden recovery partition image. It's free for the first 30 days with full functionalities.

    But can one then use this copied hidden partition to directly do a Vista reinstall?

    thanks david, i just want to back up the software as the vista included has all the drivers, i am gonna install with a diff version of vista with less bloat ware anyways

    thanks i will go try it out and see how it goes :)

    Edit: i open the program then what do i do on it?

    Not to be unhelpful, but Acronis should have stepwise instructions for copying drives and/or partitions in their pdf instruction manual, which you've already read through? It's on their website somewhere.

    The recovery partition will probably be 5-15GB in size on the partition map. Be sure you DON'T delete the partition until you know you have a good copy. Just follow the instructions in the manual, and check back here if you hit a snag in any specific step; Acronis is pretty straightforward and easy to use.
