Just woke up to a frozen pc with just a grey screen. After doing a hard reboot, the pc seems to just do rolling restarts, at 3-4 minute intervals.

If anyone is familiar with the G1, it still has that explosion start up sound, but the screen is grey with black horizontal lines, which eventually fade to a solid grey color.

Any clue to what the problem is? I'm guessing it's just another bad motherboard. Already had it replaced once.

Almost sounds like a bad GPU

After reading that you woke it up and found a frozen screen it could be that your HDD has failed. Can you get into the bios?

Hooked up to an extrenal moniter, and i can start in safe mode. I see fragments during the windows loading screen. Pretty sure I sent it in for warranty work last time I saw fragments and they replaced the MB, but this grey screen thing is new. I'm guessing it's a combination of both the GPU/MB now.
