I keep getting this message... I installed MS's patch (below), but it hasn't resolved it. You guys have any ideas? Should I disable Asus Update?

As you can see, I only have 4 IE windows. There's no lack of resources available!

When I click okay, Asus' driver update application comes up, but it's always empty.

I had that same problem until I converted over from FAT32 to NTFS

I would update all of your drivers and OS through Asus and MS, respectively. Also, monitor your memory usage through the Task Manager (see if there is a memory leak somewhere). Check to make sure you have a large enough pagefile and virtual RAM space on your hard drive (accessible through My Computer->Properties).

First - remove Asus' live update...... I've never liked it, and it's meant for users that aren't going to check Asus' site for new updates...... but it only shows 100% required updates, which almost never come around... uninstall it and you won't have the problem.

I had the exact problem also on my F3JV. The culprit was ASUS Live Update. I'd encourage you to ditch the program and just use the Asus website (the Taiwanese one seems to be fastest and most up-to-date - http://support.asus.com.tw/download/download.aspx ).

Sounds good to me. I'll delete the application. :)

is it wise to update EVERYTHING on the website? i haven't updated anything on my G1 ever since i got it... the way i see it is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it... or should i always check out that page every once in a while and update (which reminds me, i haven't even done any update on xp yet. should i do it too?). thanks!

Opss, I noticed I asked the same question twice...idiot. What I meant was which driver(s) do I need to update, BIOS, AUDIO, TOUCHPAD, etc...

What I'd advise w.r.t. updates is:
    - check the list of changes, see if you can use them, e.g. are there any bugs that affected you and have been fixed, or is there a performance improvement that you can make use of
    - if yes, then update
    - otherwise, not.

In other words, don't fix what isn't broken. :) This especially goes for the BIOS.
